Canada International Experience (IEC)
IEC is a program that aims to strengthen the bonds between young foreigners and Canadian employers by allowing them to come to Canada for work and travel experience. This year, Canada will offer this opportunity to nearly 90,000 foreign youth, filling labor shortages across the country and boosting the Canadian economy. To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet certain criteria such as age, language skills, education, and work experience. Eligible countries vary by work permit category (student, working holiday, etc.). Candidates can check on the website from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to see if they qualify.
Candidates can apply online at the EIC website. It is important to fill in all required information and attach required documents, such as proof of language skills and professional references. Applicants will receive an invitation to apply for a work permit if selected.
